I have seen people do it, but if you get real good traction and get on it sometimes it can break. My stock 90 Toyota rear end broke from age with a 4 cylinder climbing a grade on the frwy.

On our first 350 we used a mild rebuild. After the cam was broken in my students did launches behind the shop.
Didn't last two days. We came up with a Dana 20 (used in jeeps and old Amx's) Bent the axels in 2 years and
installed Mosier axels with a 410 spool from Rand's Ring and Pinion. Gears last about 2 to 3 seasons before the teeth break off. We run 28 or 29 inch slicks x 10. Carries the wheels to the tree about 8" at the highest point. Best time 10.59et
at 123mph. Rebuilding the engine this winter and using Cal Tracs with their mono leafs for the new season.
Will the Dana take the aabuse?
