Hey i am 15 almost 16 and i have a luv diesel 4 clynder and this thing is just way to slow for my taste. I want to swap it to a gas engine and was wondering what stuff i should throw out and what stuff i should keep and get. What kind of gas engines would be a good upgrade to this truck.

Go with a good Chevy 4.3 V6 or if you want, a small block V8 will fit nicely. There are many of us who have or who are in the process of doing just that on this site. Look around a read the postings to see what you might want to do. We are all here to help out. Oh yea, big blocks fit too as there are a few of them here too.

u havent told us if its 2wd or 4wd

o yea i forgot that it is a 4x4 1982 diesel luv sorry about that

u want to keep the 4X4? if so mostlikely u can only do a gas swap from a Chevy Blazer or stock gas 82 4x4. if u want 2wd easy V8 conversion

if the diesel runes, what are you ging to do with it, I may be interested.

ya it runs and it run really good its only got like 10,000 miles on it the perviouse owner replaced it not to long ago... I dont really know what i am going to do with it
