Haven't got my motor back YET but I'm trying to figure out how to hook up my steering to the rack-n-pinion, If I use the through the hood pulling headers I don't think I'll have any problems hooking it up but I want to use regular headers and the headers will be in the way. Have you guys got any pics of how you run your steering shaft? Thanks again

Thank's for the pics. Where did you get the knuckles and is that the factory peace on the firewall? Is your engine set back? The joint at the firewall is what I thought I would have to do, The motor mount tower on mine seems to be the problem and it looks like I'll have to go under it oh did I see it right you used two joints. Thanks again

There are two U-Joints and the one at the firewall is welded to the shortened steer shaft. The joints are Borginson (or how ever you spell it) you can also get them from Flaming River.

I built my mounts for the rack so i could twist it and get it where i wanted it but it's close to what it would be pin mounted.

And yes my engine is set back and is a 455 Buick but i think you will be close with a SBC but should clear. But fabrication always come with it's own problems so work slow and you will get it.

Thank's again I didn't notice that you rotated yours, now that's going too put me back under mine to have another look. I really want too run over the frame headers and if I can rotate mine towards the front more I just might be able too bring it in over the fenderwell cut out. 4x4 stuff will make you talk out loud sometimes.
