I know alot of guys are running the short water pumps on there Luvs like the ones Powerbyace recommends but what I'm wanting too know is how much hp can these pumps handle, I'll be 600+ on mine and afraid the pumps will come apart. My luv will be a mudd race truck only and will not see no street time so should I go with a electric?

Thanks for the info this is good stuff and since I'm building the same type motor that you have maybe you can help me with some choices, what kind of water pump are you using and are you using a electric fan? Thanks Smokey

I was using a stock gm steel shorty, just went to an aftermarket aluminum. I use a Moroso electric pump drive, and I have an electric puller fan...

Thanks for the info I was thinking about using a dedenbear electric pump which is only about 4 1/4 long from block but it's pricey, I've already got the 19x22 aluminum radiator. Don't know how much power I would be given up with the shorty manuel pump but it would be alot cheaper. This is going to be a mudd race truck only and I'm trying to save as much weight up front as I can and keep as much HP as I can. Thank's again for any more help
