does anyone happen to know what parts are safe to remove from my 1980 LUV Mikado 4x4 from the emissions set seeing as in Clark County, WA anything pre 86 is free from emissions testing i dont need it and most of it like the air rail on the cylinder head is plugged with black nasty old oily crap that i just want gone
i swear half of the hoses and valves coming out of that engine are completely useless to the actual function of the motor.
im cutting off the air rail and plugging the holes up. and getting the return lines from the gas tank to the air intake and just using a vented gas cap
what all can be taken out? i want to simplify my engine compartment
if it isnt essential to running the truck i want it gone

on monday im getting my parts engine and i was hoping to just swap the head from the parts engine onto the block thats already in the truck since its a fresh rebuild with 0 miles on it. and im planning on doing the emissions removal once i get the engine to my garage before i do the install to make it easier and faster.
does anyone have pictures of an engine after the emissions removal?

and will adding a vented gas cap solve the problem with removing the return line to the tank?

once i get my truck going i would be glad to come pay you a visit but until that point im without a vehicle to make the trip and that sounds like quite the bike ride from vancouver X^D
im picking up my parts engine today so i should have it running in the next day or two and i hoping to have that whole process along with the title issues fixed by the end of the week. so by that time i should be set to head down to your shop
