Hey, I'm working on a 1976 luv, and I already know that I am putting a chevy 283 v8 smallblock engine, turbo 350 trau nsmition, and ford 9 inch rear differential. What I dont know is, number one; what is the propper specs to which I should narrow the diff, and two; what kind of driveshaft should i drop into it? Any info you can give would be awesome. Thank you very much!! :esmile [/u]

the 9 inch should be narrowed to 54" flange to flange if your going to use it in a stock location. driveshaft should be taken from donor vehicle when 9 is pulled to elimnate having to mess with rear yoke.

then take driveshaft to a drive line shop and have shortened to length needed and get the 1350 to 1330 series adapter yoke to use a chevy TH350 yoke on the ford driveshaft.
