Went by a salvage yard close to my brothers house today and asked about a small 4.8 LS type engine. They are selling the old ones for $450.00. They have over 100,000 on them and were running when pulled out. The 5.3 and 5.7 are a little pricier and they have 700r4's for $250. Love those boneyards. They were ripping up a 2005 Caddillac and I noticed it had an independant suspension rearend with discs. They wanted $2500 for the complete driveline, engine tranny, driveshaft and rearend. Times are hard for everybody now that they are selling cheap, I don't have the money. Still dreaming.
