I have a 80' luv 1.8 L 4spd. Its time for a new engine. I would like a V6, any reccomendations for a fairly simple bolt on engine? My budget's set at around $1800. any info or ideas would be appreciated. thanks

well you could go the v6 route and get a 96-98 4.3 vortec motor and swap out the intake manifold and put a 600 cfm edelbrock carb on it and either a 700r4 or a 350t or a 400t what ever you freferance on trannys are and get the motor swap stuff from powerbyace.com and it should be fairley simple other than the wiring and you will prolly have to run an electric fan..or the same route but with a 350 motor but then you have to start notchin stuff either the core support or the fire wall..im goin the v6 way with a mildly built 96 vortec

Any engine swap will require the trans as well only the Izuzu motors fit the stock trans.
