ok. i know i have seen this before (maybe :econfused ) but i am gonna need a shifter for my LUV.

i am kinda wanting to do a console and floor shifter out of some kinda front wheel drive car. problem i see running into is the cable length.

so options? other than a after market type like a B&M.

thanks a billion

I don't see why a FWD shifter would not work. Cable length and shifter as long the shifter will move the cable correctly. Same with RWD shifters.

Old School we used the early Mustang auto shifter or the GTO Hurst his-her shifters, my favorite.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

Isuzu transmissions are the same as GM ones, they have a double detent i think its from Park to reverse. So shifters for GM trans will work on an Isuzu box and the Isuzu shifters will work on GM ones as well.

You could probably look a tthe shifter off a later model Pup. Would be fairly easy to fit.

Cheers, Bob.
