More posts than that one, but it should give you what you need.

chevy 5-speed Borg Warner T5 manual from the s10 or the camaro, around 1982-1993. not the ford t5 :smt009. now that I think about it the s10 t5 would be better cuz of the shifter location. the camaro is closer to the tail shaft. but ether one i can get my hands on will be great :D .

the S10 t5 is in the correct shifter location, but wont handle much power. ive blown 3 with the stock 4 cylinder and a little nitrous.

what you need to do is get a camaro V8 trans and swap the tailhousings. depending on what engine your going to bolt it up to that will determine the clutch pack.

do you want a core trans? or a complete built one?

its going in to 2.2 ecotec motor. the bell housing coming from quad4rods. and yes the complete built trans. is the camaro input shaft have the same spline count as the s10 input shaft. cuz i can use the flywheel and pressure plate from the ecotec and then use the clucth disc from a 80's buick quad4 motor cuz this has the same spline count as the s10 t5.

Someone needs to make something where a T-5 Ford transmission can be used. They are much easier to find. I think the input shaft is too long.

whats the bellhousing patteren that you need?

is it the 60* patteren?

as for clutch, i have a part number for a 9" clutch that will fit the camaro input shaft, but is small enough to still fit under 60* bellhousing. its an adapted unit I found while swapping a camaro t5 into my S10 for the added strength.

Another T-5 that works is the one in a Astro van and they must be of the V8 style as a friend of mine has one behind a 455 Olds in his 67 442. Just something to look at.

i know this is kinda an old thread, i stumbled upon it looking for 5spd info

just thought i would throw this in here, i had a v8 s10, had a 305/t5 in it, the tag on the t5 said it came outta a 93 2.5l 4cyl, and i drove this thing HARD!!...never had any shifting issues when i would turn it 8000 rpms, side stepped the clutch several times, went 14.38 @ 98.02 with a 2.3x 60'

it used a bellhousing/slave cylinder off a late 80s early 90s fullsize v8 truck, the tranny would bolt right up to the bellhousing with a 3/4-7/8" spacer between the two, worked perfect
