As I was afraid, the ebay guy decided to back out of the transaction, so I sold my old work truck to a junkyard. 150 bucks for a truck with no motor or transmission isn't so bad. Anyway, the guy is telling me about a 350 he has at his yard that this guy tore up his transmission with. He didn't know a whole lot about it, but he did know it has a brand new holley 750 on it, and as he said "it must have a helluva cam in it, cause it idles real lumpy-like." He said this guy got tired of screwing with it after tearing up his transmission with it. Anyway, he's letting the motor, complete with carb and everything else go for 800 bucks. I'm going to go check it out next weekend, and hear it run, and if it's anything like he described, I'm going to bring it home. At the very least, I can get my luv going with a running v8 while I work on my fire breathing monster in my leisure time.
