I found a tranny . the guy says its a 5 speed and he believes is original to his 75 luv. I told him its not so . He says reverse is towards him and down with 5 gears. Has anyone done a 5 speed swap with a tranny that has reverse on the drivers side? thanks in advance Darrell

the 4x2 LUV\pups had a 5 speed, in 80/81 when they where the same roling chasse.

thats the only one i know of thats a origanal 5 speed in 80/81 but it must be 4x2 only.
i dont know of any older LUVs with a 5 speed. there all 4 speed or auto 3 speed. as far as i know.

thats a odd spot for reverse in a LUV to me at least.
