can someone give me a list of things i need for my 350/350 swap?
just tired of messin everything up when i race

If you go to http://www.photobucket.com/V8Luv you will find an instruction sheet with a list of most of the parts that are needed. It was originally written in 1974. If you know someone who has a large collection of old magazines, look for TRUCKIN June 1978 starting on page 14, STREET RODDER October 1977 starting page 56, lots of info. Also email tech at the web site listed and they can give you a more complete list.

Old Rob is definetly the expert when it come to V8 engine swaps and his information is excellent, however there is a lot of information right here on this site!
A complete article about installing a V8 engine in your Luv is listed in the "Information" section on the Luv Truck.com home page, you can learn a lot from reading it.

Good luck, you will really enjoy driving your V8 Luv. Don't worry about going the biggest, baddest engine, a warmed up SBC 305 is more than enough power to enjoy! Especially when hooked up to a 700R4 automatic overdrive trans, ad the good news is that with this transmission you can continue to use your stock rear end! at least long enough to save up for a S-10 or bigger rear end.
