Since it's the weekend and the truck (77 Stepside) is tore apart and redline tech isn't available till monday---Have any of you guys used that stock phenolic spacer with the insert like baffle with your new weber carb. I like the idea of the spacer(heat shielding) and the little baffle looks like its is supposed to keep # 2 cylinder from an over rich condition since it is the shortest intake runner. Anybody tried it BOTH ways? Results? I'm really anxious to terrorize the neighborhood this weekend, but I don't relish the idea of having thread-locked it all together and have to re-do it again!
Thanks,

Jimbo
