I am interested in putting a Diesel in my Luv and would like to know if anyone knows what will go in with out too much work. I'm guessing the Isuzu pup diesel will go in, but thats just a guess, and I'm not sure if its worth a damn. Any Ideas? If so let me know at Nathansbasecamp@yahoo.com.

What year LUV do you have? If you own an 81 or 82, then obviously you will be able to put in any 2.2 diesel engine out of an Isuzu PUP. A step up from that engine that you could put in would be a 2.2 turbo diesel engine from the later 86 and 87 year PUP. The non-turbo 2.2 has 60 HP, while the turbo 2.2 has 80 HP. That would be the best thing to do and still not have much problems with the engine being able to fit. To find a 2.2 turbo diesel engine though is pretty hard. It is a rare find, but I would try some of your local junkyards. You never know what you could find.
