Hey guys,
Our 79 smbk 385 ran our first 10.95!
We dropped 2.5 tenths with the installation of a Turbo350 tranny
by Rossler. Well worth the $1400.00.
Mr.T

Sweet! If I remember correctly, isn't this a high school shop class truck?

Terry,
Yes, it was. Since I've retired it has now become an alumni
project and we can go for performance upgrades.
What put us in the low elevens was a Harold Brookshire flat tappet cam,23 degree Trick Flow heads, Redneck converter and spintec mufflers. A 780 Pro Systems made it very consistant and increased our mph 2 or 3 mph.
We need a new al. radiator that will allow us to keep the hood hinges as is. About 19x19. I've seen one on this web site
but without a part #. We would appreciate your input on this.
We race in Germany out of Kaiserslautern so most of our parts
come from Summit and we would like to be able to order from them.
Thanks Mr.T
