Im contemplating putting a little internal wastegated 9b turbo off of my spare 3000gt motor on my luv, it would be max 9psi, probably set around 6ish, and id try to use the stock intercoolers off of the 3000. I have the flanges i can cut off of the manifolds too. Im positive the little 1.8 could spool it no problem. The way the weber carb is designed, a blow through box for it wouldnt be hard to fabricate at all, and i could just jet the secondary hot to support the boost. The hardest part would be to make the turbo manifold. This would be a cheap upgrade because i have all the expensive parts and could fabricate the rest myself. I think it would make an allready fun to drive truck even better. Another Idea i had was to swap a SR20 DETT in it, but that would be a lot more pricy, and take alot of work. Im tryin to stay with a 4 cyl, because a v8 would just negate any fuel efficiency, and i allready have a hot v8 in my other truck.

I just figured some of you guys have turbo'd your luv trucks and am lookin for some tips, pro's and con's to doing it.

Didn't a 3000 GT have a turbo version. If that is the car-engine thats I would look for. Parts off of it what you need.
