I've got a 79 luv 4x4 that is pretty much stock other than it has a 3" body lift. I am tired of people knockin' my luv cuz we all know how potent a little 4x4 this can be. She is tired and I am on a short budget. What I have is the complete stock truck that runs like shit at the moment and 1 complete G180 spare motor that I am completely unsure of history. spare motor turns over.

any advice, tips or ideas on adding some power would be great. I have a few local scrap yards I can go hunting at.

I wanna run 30-31" mud tires on it. I may even run a skidsteer tire.
Even some advice on lifting this so I can fit a little bigger tire on would be sweet too.

For some help go to our 4x4 section for the 4x4 info. The stock section will have some help... Use the search too.
Welcome to luvtruck.com Some people can help here too.

There is another one on a different carb... I'll see if I can find it.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

another thing you should keep in mind is that I have very limited funds and for the moment I am looking for stock power and planning to upgrade from there. If I start doing alot of conversions and spending some serious cash on the luv(which I plan to do in the future) I have a '68 300hp 327cid out of a impala and a turbo400 and 205 tansfer case. all I need is axles and drive shafts.

I am just curious of what can be had from a stocker.
