 Post subject: will it fit?

ive heard people talk about putting a 231ci in thier luv with little modifications. is that the 3.8 liter? And if so, could i put an 3.8 out of an '89 olds into my truck? can i use the stock transmisison and t-case with that? i found the motor at in my schools shop and am going to ask if my teacher will sell it if it can fit.
