I was just wondering if anybody has ever changed CV BOOTS on a 82 4x4 luv?

I never have on a luv but they have these boots at autozone called quickboots. They are split down the middle and you put them on with little screws and nuts. That way you don't have to remove everything to get to the cv axle. I am in the process of removing the complete front end from my new parts truck. I am having trouble getting the axles out.

how long do you thing the quickboots would last Grimace

Probably just a temporary repair. A few months if that. I sorked at autozone part time to feed my car habit and sold them to a few people. A couple of months later the same people would come in and buy the entire replacement half shaft. So I am guessing they only last a little while.
