The thing about that is, that Syclone and Typhoons are exceptionally rare.. It's an intriguing thought, though..

Personally, If I ever came across a Cyclone that was in decent shape. I would rather drive the Cyclone the way it was made. I think it would be near impossible to find a Cyclone sitting in the wrecking yard. You'd have to snatch it up before the wrecking yard employees realized what they had. We all know that's not gonna happen though.

Yea, I think they were right around $30K new, I wanted one pretty bad when they were new but couldnt afford one which is why I ended up with an SS. I seen red typhoon by my house before I left Denver for $28K. I had gotten invited by Sport Truck magazine around 1993 to come out to Bandimere and test drive them, friggen awesome!! Then my bro had gotten one at the dealership he works out so we had to take it out and break it in. And like Josh said, trying to find a drivetrain from one, well you pretty much have 3 choices, buy a complete vehicle and then it goes to slim and none!!! :esurprised

That would be awesome to do the magazine test drive. When I was in college for automotive, we had a Buick Grand National, (back when they first came out) that was donated to the school. We would take it out in the parking lot for a test beat. It was fun. I use to see a Cyclone/Typhoon around once in a while. But haven't seen one for lately.

As far as I know, today, there are only a handful of these vehicles known to exist, period. They are the covet of the S10 world, though.

I think this is about as much stuff as will possibly fit into an S10 engine bay. Meet the Syclone 4.3 litre intercooled turbo engine.

280hp 350torque 0 to 60 in 4.6

from car and driver 1992
You already know about the Syclone, the baddest, meanest, most testosterone- pumped production pickup in the land. It has 280 horsepower and four-wheel drive. It runs 0 to 60 mph quicker than a Ferrari 348ts. Amazing. Although the Syclone unquestionably offers a thrilling ride, you have to ask yourself one question: who wants a pickup truck that can blast to 60 mph quicker than a Ferrari? Sure, you could flatten your eyeballs by driving it around empty all day. But what happens when you use it as a pickup? Owing to the Syclone's trick suspension, the cargo-bed capacity is a mere 500 pounds. Worse, just one half-push on the Syclone's throttle and crash!-your load of firewood and Old Yeller go sailing over the tailgate. Pretty silly, no?

:smt071 I just thought to let everyone know that back in 1994 I found a buick grandnational in the junkyard. Bought the drivetrain to put in my 79 stepside luv. Except I forgot to get the wiring harness and ecm. (car was crushed later on). Well the drivetrain sat for 10 years my shed. I had a friend that bothered me to death about buying it. Since I needed the money, because I was in college. I sold it. Now I'm shooting myself in the foot for doing that. That possibly could've been the 1badluv. Mike.
