Man that motor looks cool! Im not too sure of that goofy-ass looking thermostat housing. Is the block painted "G.M. Blue"? The timing chain housing looks good, is that paint or did you clean up the housing to bring out the aluminum? Did you climb up into the rafters of your garage to take that pic? How about a couple more close up pics of the motor. E-mail them to me if you have to.

Yea, the pics aint comming up. I'd try cutting down the neck of the housing first. If it doesn't work out, you haven't really lost out on anything. And eventually the housing will start leaking at the mating suface, but if it holds together for now, you can worry about that later. The NAPA part will be a sure fix.

Larp, the trans tunnel is big enough for the 350 turbo. And yes you can use the stock luv transmission mount with a small modifcation. My tranny fit in there with no problem, there is even a little extra room left. Funny thing when I put my V8 in, I thought making motor and trans mounts would be the hard thing. Turns out those were the easiest, installing the radiator has been the nightmare. 8O Go figure.

well turns out the top of the tunnel wasnt big enough....had to pul the engin back out a beat the piss outta it some more :x
but its in there....aint got the mounts in yet....i am gonna have to modify mine..or make a set of bryans...(if some one could hook me up w/ those ...that would be great :D )

Image

also,,,,anyone have a problem w/ clearance one the cross member there?
the oil pan didnt want to clear it well...so it got some "tweaking" also.
you can also see the motor mounts im using here.

Yea! Everybody that runs a Buick V-6 has this crossmsmber issue to deal with. There are certian model Monzas that had a different oil pan with the V-6 that will clear the crossmember with no problem. As for motor mounts drawings, check your e-mail.
