I got to wondering if a 5spd and rear-end from a Chevette would go in a Luv...

well i know that the chevettes are a cousin to the holden gemini, and i know the gem's use the g161 engine that cannot be found in the states, but ad for the rest of the drive train i think it was chevy's inferior 4cyl drive train that ran them, but one could check... get ahold of one of the aussie guys and mabye 800xl hes a bis isuzu guy, and rodeo bob if a pretty knowledgable fellow if you can find him

The chevette uses a torque tube meaning the driveshaft is enclosed in a tube that connects all the way to the rearend
