 Post subject: oil pan

Does anyone know the part number of the z28 oil pan the you need to run for the v8 swap??? or can you just use a stock oil pan???

I haven't used any certain type of pan. I've got an 8 quart Moroso on mine now, so I believe any stock pan will fit.

mine is a moroso 8 qt hamberger pan and no problem. anyone will do fine if u ask me.

i have a stock on mine I tried to use a moroso 7 quart but where it bulged out on the sides it hit my headers

When I got my 327 the oil pan was more like a curve to the sump and would not clear the cross member so I traded it to a guy for one that is more like a step and it fits with plenty of clearance. I used the hooker set up.
