anyone know where I can get the front axles for a 80 4x4 LUV, i went an dpicked my LUVette up today, and when i got it home, (14 hour drive roudn trip) I took it off the trailer, and notcied NO FRONT AXLES, i was never told these were not there. I sent him an e-mail in hopes he may have taken them out for some stupid reason, and forgot about it....
Any help would be appreciated

It's fairly easy if you have a solid lift and a workbench with a solid vise. Without those, I think it would be a major PITA. Getting them out can be a bitch if you need to whack on them, and you would surely need to whack on them to get them apart to install the new boots (at least I did on my old car). I hope this helps you.

Edit: We are talking about CV boots, right?

It is no harder than the rear member. Remove all the bolts ( did you say the axles are out?). Then just tap the housing with a soft hammer to break the gasket aloose. It is heavy, so don't drop it!
