wondering how much shorter a 2wd tranny is than a 4wd tranny. i have a 1980 4x4, what years in 2wd will fit that gen engine? (going to run divorced t case so i need more rear driveshaft length) also i might be able to get a cheap 81 diesel w/ a 5 speed, are the engine mounts and belhousing the same as the 80 gas? any info is greatly appreciated.
