Hi,
I have a 1985 diesel luv 4x4 and I want to put a 5 speed into it to replace a 4 speed. I have not one clue whether I can do it (pay someone to, that is) or if I need to swap out the engine too, etc.
Has anyone done it, does anyone have any ideas?

Michele,

Did you say 85 luv? I thought they stopped making them in 82 or is it different up there is the land of caribuo and Moosehead beer? BTW, ever been to Rauch Valley on the Yellowknife? My ex is from there. Beautiful place : )

Michele,

You might look to see if the 5-speed from a mid 80's Trooper would work for your LUV.
