I noticed the luv has an electric pump on it. Will that pump pump enough fuel to a 350 or would it be better to bypass the electric pump and use the mechanical pump on the 350?

I ran the stock pump on my stock 350 and never had a problem. I only upgraded because i was in the position to throw down the necesary green for a new one out of jegs. The nice thing about an electric pump is you can set it up to have an over ride switch to top off the carb for an easier start. My tank suck the fuel out of the lines "slowly" so I just jump it and top it off every day that i drive it.

I'm sure weve all had the mechanical pumps and turn the motor over, and over, and over waiting for fuel......

So I can block off the place where the fuel pump bolts to on the block?

A stock electric pump will feed a mild 350 just fine for street use. If your building something for the track, you might as well go ahead and upgrade your pump and lines. You can get a block off plate for the stock mechanical pump just about anywhere, and it will most likely be pretty cheap to buy.
