I have chevy luv 1980 with 350 and trans 400, i wondering to know if is good keep the original rear end or anybody recommend me replace

The stock rear axle won't live very long with a SBC under the hood. Depending on how built your eng. is, you can use an S10 rear, a Ford 9" posi, or a GM 10 bolt posi.
Search around on this site, there have been many a discussion on here about rear axles. :wink:

you could also use a Isuzu 12 bolt axles as well, the 12 bolt will more than handle the power of a SBC, you can find them under 88 and later Troopers

like i always say... it dpends on what you are going to do with the truck. light duty daily driver, a mail jeep Dana 44 or Isuzu, bolt it up and fly it. medium to high perf and race, hands down, Ford 9"
