I believe there is a conversion housing end kit that allows you to eliminate the c clips by going to a ford 9" style bearing retainer plate. I forget where i saw it but its something to consider and worth looking for.

all 3 are good but the best of the 3 bar none is MW. damn i didnt know summers bros were still around. I have an old noisy ass gear drive from them that I bought back in the 80's for some crazy price like $650. it sounds awesome though.

M.I.T. here in san diego does good narrowing. Currie in LA is always reputable but a little more on the $$$ side. MIT usually charges $150 to narrow the housing and $150 for the pair of axles and sometimes if they are too busy they send them out to Currie. i would have Currie or MIT do the housing and then buy some good aftermarket alloy axles. you can get them for $350 pair these days and they are way stronger than narrowed stocks for just a little more investment you have piece of mind.
