shackles are just 2 sets of bolts and 2 sets of bars with holes down the center.

so i walk in to the local Autozone and ask 4 people standing behind the counter for Shackles.. and it was like I said stick um up. THEY HAD NO CLUE. so if you go searching for these things go to the 4x4 area where the lifts are tha look on the price tages. It said SHACKLES. the description before was right on. long pices of metal with 3 holes in them for various sizes.

if you know how to weld or have a buddy that does, a spring over conversion in the back might be a good way to get some lift. you'll also get more flex since you don't have to use those ungodly long shackles

Hear it the problem with coil over.. I have looked at every post on this site and no where does it show any pictures of what needs to be done to do this conversion. No one can show most of us what needs to be done, THIS FORM NEEDS TECH ARTICLES. some thing stating in detail how to do these things in great detail with piuctures step by step. this would eliminate the 5 pages of forum topice asking how to do this.. Just a thought. Help us out put up a tech artical section.

I installed a 2" body lift within a day. Ordered from whitney. Approx. $100.00. Very easy w/ little to no mods. Way more included in kit than needed. Keep that in mind. There are 2" w/ some 3" parts included w/ this kit so can be confusing. This will allow me to run a 15x7 rally wheel w/ 235-75-15 tire. I will turn torsions to allow front to set up a little higher in the front just for looks. Cheap and easy

I have the same lift on mine, though I has little diffiul cutting the firewall to get the steering to work correct. Also I have 215-75-15 and mine are rea lly close to hittin the fenders? Did you do any mods to yours?

My truck is still in the paint shop w/ 14" still on. I only had the 15" on while on the rack after installing lift. I did not see any problems as is, w/o turning on torsions. I hope this will work. Will let you know later. I did no other mods. I am sure I will get ribbed a little, but this truck will never see any off-road action, so should be no problem.
