 Post subject: Chev Luv Transmisions

Im looking to buy an 82 Chev Luv 2.2L Diesel L4 Vin. S made by Isuzu. I am suspect the transmision is not "well". Wana know if the transmision in this truck is the same in gasaline driven trucks? Im hoping to put a vegtable oil conversion kit in running on used fry oil. Thanks for any help u can give.
