Its easy enough to fix.

Just run your pipe part way up and use the stack as a cover. Basically the stack is an oversized exhaust tip.

Go google pictures and have a search.
4th one down

think this is an early toyota or it could be a datsun

same ute again
http://www.abc.net.au/greatsouthern/stories/s931927.htm
Here down under ive seen nearly every ute ever sold here with stacks, mud flaps and roll bars. They call them feral utes. All the boys and girls that like to go to the outback/country batchelor and spinster (B&S) balls have a ute. Theres also a thing called a ute muster, they have them all over the place. Theres a big ute culture down under.

Cheers, Bob.

It's short for utility. That's what they call pick ups down there.
Any Aussies, correct me if I wrong.

BTW, I use the term "bits" a lot now. I got it from reading posts on here from you guys. :D

Ute is a loosely used term down here.

Strictly a "ute" or utility vehicle is meant to be a one piece body with a load carring rear part. Either with a full chassis or without.

So most jap trucks with removable style side tubs and even your bigger F-trucks and chev/GMC/Dodge's arent really utes. That would be a pickup.

Anything with a tray is called a one tonner. Most are rated at one ton anyway.

Its just easier to call them all utes, so thats what they get called.

I call my 86 the truck, it carts loads like a truck

Ive got 50psi in that tyre. You cant really see but the springs are flat 8O
Was a whole lot of fun to drive. If you open the pic up you can see the springs. See the rubber static strap hanging down in the pic, usually it just touches the ground.

Well over a ton of wood. Its mostly hardwood, mountain ash theres a few bits of pine but not much. The chassis is from an 85 pup that i stripped, i took the lot up to my mates place. Hes got a Jaguar front and rear end to go onto the chassis to put his 48 Ford F1 body onto.
