I Have A Set Of Black Hooker Super Comps Side Pipe Headers For A 70-72 Camaro....I Wonder If They Would Come Anywhere Close To Working Since I Am Not Running Torsen Bars. I Am Sure The Back Down Pipe On The Right Hand Side Will Have To Be Cut And A Longer Pipe Added For Starter Clearnce....or I Could Just Slap A L88 Hood on My Camaro n Make A Fake Baldwin Motion Car, RedLUV80 Says I Shouldnt Do That...I Think It Would Look Pretty Neat On Either Of Em

I know this thread started out about gas tanks, so i apologize for being off the original post, but on the subject of side pipes, a lot of times to make the side pipes fit the exhaust is run to the opposite side,ie passenger side header to driver's side pipe. My bud's and I did this on a 1942 pontiac that we chopped and dropped a 428 poncho in. 8O

Just a word on factory tanks , I broke a u-joint and the driveshaft in mine and it dented the inboard muffler and gas tank . A drive shaft safty loop should be seriously considered when higher power numbers are applied . If I get mine on a lift again I will try to get pictures from underneath.

Just use the stock tank and mount it between the frame rails behind the rear axle. Its cheap and the radiator shop took all of the smog ports off of mine and moved the neck the the center. Just fab some mounts off the frame rails and make a hole in the bed. My exhaust dumps right before the rear axle. Only two problems with this, it starts a dust storm coming up the driveway and the nitrous is strong in the cab.
