hey i just drove an '06 C6 Vette last night and it has a 6speed auto. what a trip. first gear is like 4.08 2nd is way out at 2.56 i think. dont even know what 3rd,4th 5th 6th are but the distance between 1st and 2nd is so far that it doesnt hit very hard. i was kind of disappointed. final drive is like 2.56 also. i wanna drive a 6speed manual vette i hear they put you in the seat a lot more.

Luvsadrag, you are on the money. Find somebody reputable in your area. Ask some racers to point you in the right direction. Rebuild your old 700r4. You should be able to do it for $500.00 to $600.00 in parts if your rebuilder will work with you on it. Some guys will let you do that if they are able to make enough on their labor. If you buy newer, you wouldn't have as good a trans if yours built right. That 3:06 first gear will push you back in the seat. The .67 is what a lot of five speed final drives are.

200 4r 's are cool and the aftermarket parts are there to support power. Same size as a 350. They came in lot's of stuff too. cutlass' , buick v-6 wagons, regals, so alot of people think trannys coming from v-6 cutlass is junk, so there cheap.
