are you going from a th350 to the 700r4!
if so here is some info that might help. the th250 short shaft is 27 11/16 overall length and the of the 700r4 short shaft is 29 7/8 out of a corvette others are 30 3/4. as far as the mounting point of the crossmember pad the th350 short shaft is 20 3/8 from the bellhousing to the front edge of the mounting pad and the 700r4 is 22 1/2 so if you are useing a th350 now the mounting holes will need to go back 2 1/8 and the drive shaft will need to be shortened 3 inches also check for clearance around the bell housing the 700r4 is 20" at the bellhousing and the th350 is 19 1/8.-Brian
