 Post subject: blown 8-71 350

hello ppl just startin my project. Now i am workin on my motor sbc 350 8-71 not sure if i can see out the windshield when i am done lol. truck 78 needs lots of work on everything all wiring bodywork,and drivetrain. trying to make a weekend warrior.Maybe drive on the street just short drives gas is to hi here in texas(2.40 a gallon) .Any way wish me luck. will get pics as soon as i can seem to of lost dig. cam.. :D

houston //I know gas is allot more elsewere but i still like to complain about 2.40.lol..........ps...with the 8-71 blower i might get 1mile per gallon

I am haveing a hard time seeing 1 mile per gallon. I have friends with that set up getting much more.

yeah kidding about 1mile per gallon.i plan on getting about 10per gallon maybe 8.With my last set up sbc naturally asperated i got 8 to 10 pushing 550hp with turbo 350trans.But that was in a 5700pound truck.

i am going to go pay 2.49 here in about 5 minutes......o wait thats diesel lol. Gas is 2.28 today..... you will have some visibility with the blower, but not alot lol. Welcome

Hey guy if you plan on 1 mile to the gal. with that blower i would suggest that you put carbs on the blower and check for fuel running on the ground.Even with 4.56 gears and the most radical set up the minimum should be 5-8mpg.
