i am puttin a GM 350 small block in my 76 this summer and wanted to know if a manual tranny is possible? if it is what is out there? and also what exactly do i have to do to the rear-end in it? is there a rear end i can just pull off another vehicle and put in? also what do i have to do to the mountd to put it in? here is a link for the motor im getting in case u need to know: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10002&storeId=10001&categoryId=22627&parentCategoryId=10763&langId=-1

The 82-93 S-10 rear axle is an almost direct bolt in and depending on what driveshaft length you need, you should have very little trouble finding one to fit rather than having one made. Please note you won't be able to throw a lot of HP through that rear axle though, but it will hold up to the motor you linked too. It is also a 5 lug setup so keep that in mind.

As far as using a mnaul tranny, there are a few people on here that have done that, you can go to a hydraulic setup like "Dan" or I have heard you can use the setup from the mid to late 70's Skyhawk, Sunbird, Monza series which use a cable to actuate the throwout bearing fork.

I had a 76 luv with a 350 and a muncie 3-speed I used the stock rear end and the only problem I had was the u-joint in the drive shaft
