I bought Leadfoots luv and 350 motor and have finally started putting it back together. Bought the tranny and got the motor installed and have started working on getting the Painless wiring all wired up - what an adventure. Started to mount the alternator and couldn't find a bracket that would work on the short water pump. It's an 84 block so any recommendations of bracket kits would be appreciated. I wanted to mount it on the passenger's side but may have to mount it on drivers. In order for the pulleys to line up, the alternator is going to have to be almost on the side of the motor and recessed to line up with the pulleys.

do a search on it. I've posted part numbers and links for the parts that will work for you in the past.
