Well we got it on the road. We still have to work out all the kinks and fine tune it. I probably wouldn't have attempted this project without this website and your input. Thanks Luvtruck.com-ers. To update, I think I have trash or rust or something in the gas tank. Every time I put gas into it, it acts like it is running out of gas. I've changed the filter but it still does it once in a while, especially after putting gas in it. The carburetor probably needs rebuilding as well to get rid of the hesitation. But the power it has in that little truck makes the swap worth while. Lots of fun to drive and unusual in the area I live in--a real head-turner. thanks again and I'll try before long to post my pictures up. Just have to get camera shop to put negatives on disc to load up.

good job guys. yeah, you got the junk in the tank. peeroys truck had been sitting for a while with a wee bit of gas in it and it was all varnishy and smelly when we were getting the truck runnin again. hes ran a couple of tanks of gas though it now, so its probably cleared up now. but hey, ge them pics up. everyone likes pictures!!

check this.....i cleaned my gas tank out by dumping about 10 lbs of bb's into it and a gallon of denatured alcoholand rattled it around for a half hr. got a bunch of stuff out of it and i quit having hesatation problems with the weber carb i had..... it's alot cheaper than getting it sealed or cleaned profesionaly.

by the way.....congradulations........

Good idea about the BB's. My son has enough of them. Pix are on the way--hopefully. I'll be getting the disc soon so maybe I can figure out the download procedures for the pictures.
