Hey guys helping my buddy out with his 76 LUV and since he aint got internet Im looking up info for him. Well first things first, we're trying to drop the old 305 h.o and 200r4 from my 87 Monte (currently I'm dropping a 454 th400 combo in the Monte, but I'd still rather have his Luv 8) ) into his Luv. My cousins gonna fab us up a set of engine mounts and the headers. The thing I was wondering is what driveshaft would we use if we wanted to use the stock rear end. We're looking for something thats a drop in and doesn't need to be cut or balanced since we're on 2 15 year old budgets. I know on the PDF in the FAQ they say to use the driveshaft from a late 2nd gen camaro with a TH350 but they were also using a rear end from a S10, so are the s10 rear ends a different size?
Thanks for the help guys.
Guido
p.s. this screen name may seem like it has a split personality becuase my buddy will be using this sn when he gets the chance to get on a computer.

well if you have a luv that came stock with an auto tranny, you might be ale to use the stock drivline. the stock drivelin has the same yoke as a 2004r.

yes but would the stock automatic bolt up to a SBC? Anyways the reason why I'm giving him the 200r4 is because its got overdrive and also because we'll probably find more goodies for it like shift kits and reverse manual valve bodies and high stall converters easier than the stock auto, incase we want to upgrade later on.
