Thanks for the info Blue.
So if I went with a 3.25 ratio would it be a little bit snappier or somewhere close to the 2.75?

Im assuming that your running an automatic transmission. 3.25 will work really well. My gearing is a bit tall but im living quite well right now. Later on i might build a second housing assy and swap it out for trips to the track. Swapping out a housing on a Ford 9" is pretty easy.
Keep in mind of your tire height. Taller tires with short gearing can work just like shorter tires with taller gearing.
Also, having tall gears means the motor wont see much above 4000 r.p.m. So rebuilding a motor that makes peak power at 6000 r.p.m. doesn't make sense. Focus on engine mods that make power from idle on up. Cruising thru town might see 1700 r.p.m. and stepping on it will make for clean acceleration.
If you decide to run a manual trans, DONT run tall gears! You'll cook your clutch really quick with around town driving. Hot spots will ruin the flywheel.

I got a T-10 4-speed in mine and the stock rear gear ratio for that trans was 3.36.It's a real early corvette trans so would I be okay with some 3.25's?
Thanks.

Right now I have 307s or 308s on the rear end. But I wanna go 411's with an over drive tranny! With that my quater mile time will cut way down and with the overdrive I will still be able to go on the interstate. 8)
