not for a little while..... im saving to buy a trans for the luv and i have to get one for my 95 blazer too......

i researched into the t-56 and it won't be possible to hook it up to a 2.8, it would work well for a 4.3,but that's not what i have to work with.

well now that i think about it, i got the rear end in .......looks like i'll be running mismached rims for a while till i can afford the 10" 5 lug brake upgrade from luvrestoration. the platforms and spacing matched for the rear, but i reallty have to do something about the bigger brakes.

we had a really big lightnig storm here a few nights ago, my a-frame got hit pretty good, hope it didn't fry any of the engine sensors.......

i found bell housings for the wc t-5 to 2.8 on e-bay for a buy it now for $35, i figure i'll just drop a camero t-5 in it, i want the close ratio grunt since i got that beefy rear end.

yeah, i was gonna say that the t56 doesnt have a "tranny to bellhousing" bolt pattern like any manual tranny.

i bet you could have gotten one of those 2.8 to smallblock tranny adapter plates from luvrestoration, but that would seem kinda weak and i dont think theres a t56 flywheel that will mate to the 2.8.

the t5 will be good. itll make that lil thing prety quick.

i was thinking along those lines......the other probition was the cost for clutch parts......the t-56 uses a stage 2 racing clutch and i don't feel like spending $600 every time i need a clutch kit.

wow....been a few days since i visited......been sick as hell. if you catch this post bob, i got those photos for ya, i'll pm em over tonite.

here's my new tranny, couldn't get a W/C, but i think it'll do. i don't plan on more than 200 hp.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8006488500&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

here's the bell housing, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2462302198&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

i want a lightweight flywheel for this thang........havin a hard time finding one tthough.

i figured out how to lower the whole engine by 2" i'll be cliping the solid part of the motor mount and re drilling it for less height. i'll still need a knockout in my hood, but i think i found a way to do it twithout needing an ugly old scoop.

damn....got beat on the trans........

got the same thing from the chevy recycler at rancho cordova though. $250

so i have the engine, trans and rearend installed. i have engough wiring in to run but i can't get the charging system to integrate yet. need a new fuse box and some more time.

who knows about sending units and gauges? i have a trans from a 91 camero w/a electric spedo sender and i need a gauge pod for it. will the temp, oil press, and fuel gauge be compatible? i saw a gauge pod for a camero w/tach, speedo(electric), volt, fuel, oil press and temp. all the lights and stuff. if the gauges hook right up that's what i'll be using.
i guess i just need to know if they changed the resistance in the sending units between a 86 blazer 2.8 and a 91 camero(2.8-3.1?)
