well i know a lot a people have wondered if it was possible to put a luv on a s10 or blazer frame and so did i! it is i did it i striped all the wiring harness and ecm out of my 92 blazer. Rolled the body off and cut some here and there. and now it fits! TBI 4.3 FIVE lug!! disc brakes and posi and power steering....i drove it last night it was a rush so much power now with that heavy blazer body gone! i took picktures as i did it so i can post them when i get them scaned. it also has air ride suspension on so it tucks my iroc wheels...

yeah please let us know more info. Did the mounting hole from the body line up with the chasis or did you have to do any modifing? Also if you did any modifing what else did you do to the whole rig.

Thats a great idea. Pics! Pics!

How far from Medford are you? I'd love to check that out in person and discuss how you did it.

I just happen to have a 2wd Luv begging for a 4.3, A/C, and bags!

From what I've found, the 2 door Blazer wheelbase is 100.5" while the 75 Luv is 102.5". That 2" could be compensated for pretty easily with different leaf springs to avoid cutting and welding work.

Heres some interesting useless trivia

A 4 door 1st gen blazer is still @ 1" SHORTER than a reg cab shortbed S-10 pickup. 107" for the blazer and 108.3" for the truck 8O .

In order to fit a Luv body to a s-10 truck frame you'd have to shorten the wheelbase by almost 6" .

How much longer is a stock S-10 pickup? Probably more than two inches.

Dude it's written right there. A stock s-10 pickup is just shy of 6" longer in wheelbase...at least according to the tech specs.

well like i said before imma broke ass so can't give pics yet. i got to find someone with a scanner then i can get them up. and as for putting on the bed i chopped it in front of th wheel wells right after the first bed hook. and took out 2-3 inches and bolted it back together the main problem i ran in to was the bed was in the center cause my gas tank is there and the stock luv bed monuts on the box i cut the floor out cause im gong to body drop it...any body who lives around corvallis oregon can come see it! is there any luv meets coming up soon i could possibly drive it so everyone can see! it got some mickey mouse'd stuff on it though so dont think its some nice ass show truck i dont want any high hopes or anything but its nice for not having a welder or shop to do it in just a cut off wheel and a jack and man power! and the drive to be differnt
