Hey guys, iv had my luv truck for a few months, and my uncle has a 350 out of 74 full size chevy, and he said that i could have the engine drive axle and rear end. so i was wondering if anyone knew of a descent cheap trans, and if i will have to do any mods to the firewall or frame or anything. basically what will i have to do to swap the 1.8 with the 5.7 thanks. lata

it should have the steps to put a V8 in your truck.

As said above look in the info section. As for a trans i would shoot for a th350. They are a reliable tranny that are fairly low cost and realy comon. Just go to a wreking yard and ask for a turbo 350 trans, you may have to rebuild it but this will be the cheapest way.
