Hey guys I would like to know how "easy" it is to install a Weber carb, I will hopefully be getting one from twist of fate, and would like to know how difficult it is. yes i am mechaniclly inclined, i'v rebuilt the stock LUV carb, and the head on a '88 trooper, and various other things on a '87 GMC Sub. w/ 6.2 diesel, man that truck is a pain in the rear to work on. any way, any help would be nice,
thanks,
TJ

It's actually really easy. On a scale of 1-10 I would have to call it a 2 or 3. depends on what the carb has. Mine had the fittings for the fuel return line, so that was easy. Just capped a couple of vacuum lines and it was good. Didn't have the linkage for the kickdown (mine's an auto), so I had to figure out what to do with that. But all in all I think it was about an hour to complete the swap and get it tuned right.
