i purchased a LUv already outfitted with a 350 and 10-bolt, after further investigations a 'told' 4.11 gear (was tagged) turns out to be a 3.42 w/ welded spider gears, so i am looking, i know the existing is a 7.5/7.625 ring gear from other id pics, and the inside back of drum to back of drum is 48", and springs are on about 39" centers, is the rearend that is coming out of 2wd S-10's or is the rear out of the monte carlo that apparently the motor came out of, since i have already purchased weld 15x8 w/ 4" backspacing, any solutions or recommendations would be GREATLY appreciated

could someone who is using a 'bolt in' rearend please tell me what your dimension is across back of drum to back of drum so i know what to look for in a new rearend, and can compare costs to a ring/pinion set,
thanks again

Hello,

You have a stock S-10 2wd rearend 80's model.I put the same rearend under my truck. It's a direct bolt in.I put in a posi. They won't hold up to serious HP but ok for mild street use.My chassis pics are posted.

Thanks
