Is it legal to build a loop using the crossmember that just aft of the trans crossmember? Or does the loop need to be mounted at a specific point in relation to the driveshaft? At some point i will end up at a drag strip someday and i'll need to have some stuff dealt with.

Thats not the one I ended up using, but the other one is in the same location. I ended up going with a four link and used a Art Morrison loop made out of round tubing. Looks a whole lot better. I would not swear mine is in the legal location for the strip. It would be best to check the rules, but I do believe the list location from the end.

I believe NHRA rules say its supposed to be 6" from each end of the driveshaft.

the loop goes in the front and you dont need one unless you run a slick
NHRA says only if you run a slick you need a hoop
