hey i'm takeing my luv wit a 350 to a burnout contest
what type of tiers would be good to use so i wont go sideways and be dissquallified?
and is there any way that i should start off like slow for fast? it has a 2 speed powerglide tranny

Two tires spinning would make the truck go sideways. Get some used snow tires. The tread is thicker = longer, smokier burn out.

I would think line locks for the front brakes would be a big factor in keeping it sitting solid for a good smoke show. I've never really tried in a controled setting though, so I'm sure the drag strip guys here have better experience than I in that department. ;)

There are quite a few of em. I saw a LUV at the NC Speedway smoke for a good minute. I was in awe.

It don't really matter what you got on the front end, it still can slide sideways. If its a posi unit, theres nothing to hold the truck straight when both wheels are smoking away. It will only slide if theres a slope or slight slope on the pavement. But im sure they picked a flat spot to do the contest anyways.

well the burn out contest was today I used 125 15 size tires and i didnt even place but it was fun to see what it would do.
