OK, I know where there is an abandon ford bed conv. to a trailer and its got a 9" in it. The problem is on the drivers side basically everthing including the axle is gone. Its just the tube from the pumpkin, no wheel, drum, anything. Would it be worth snagging?

Well lets put it this way...What if you find an axle, wheel, drum, the whole works... Then your gonna be kicking yourself for not having that 9" laying around!

If you are going to beef up a rear end with aftermarket axles anyway then the stock one doesnt really matter. you will just have to pick up a brake assembly somewhere.... or put on aftermarkety Wilwood disks. I say... get it. you can never have enough Ford 9" stuff laying around. I happen to have about 4 housings in my garage right now.
